Being a refereed international journal it provides an interdisciplinary forum for the publication of theoretical perspectives, research findings, case studies, policy analyses and book reviews. We particularly welcome submissions that improve our conceptual understanding or propose policy and developmental tools by analyzing empirical evidence, whether qualitative, quantitative or anecdotal.

Journal Description

The Journal of Creative Communications (JOCC) promotes inquiry into contemporary communication issues with implications for society and business. It encourages a new language of analysis for contemporary communications research and publishes articles that push the frontiers of theory and practice. JOCC showcases diversity of theoretical positions and methodologies across disciplines and regions.

Published by SAGE in collaboration with MICA (Ahmedabad, India) – a leading voice in creative, media, and cultural communication studies.

Submission Guidelines for Journal of Creative Communications

  1. 1. Authors should assess the fit between the aims and scope of the journal and their article for submission of their manuscripts.

  3. 3. Declaration of conflicting interests
    Journal of Creative Communications encourages authors to include a declaration of any conflicting interests and recommends you review the good practice guidelines on the SAGE Journal Author Gateway.
  4. 4. Publication ethics
    SAGE is committed to upholding the integrity of the academic record. We encourage authors to refer to the Committee on Publication Ethics’ International Standards for Authors and view the Publication Ethics page on the SAGE Author Gateway.
  5. 5. Copyright Form: Authors will be provided with a copyright form once the contribution is accepted for publication. The submission will be considered as final only after the filled-in and signed copyright form is received. In case there are two or more authors, the corresponding author needs to sign the copyright form.
  6. 6. All articles must be accompanied by an abstract of 200 words, approximately five key words, a brief profile of the author of about 50 words and not exceeding 100 words in case of multiple authors.

Additional Formatting Requirements:

  • • Articles should be submitted with the cover page bearing only the title of the article, author/s’ names, designations, official addresses, phone/fax numbers, and email addresses. Author/s’ name should not appear on any other page.
  • • Tables and figures should be indicated by number (e.g., see Table 1), and not by placement (e.g., see Table below). Short and crisp titles and headings in tables and figures are preferred. The units of measurement should be stated and sources should be given.
  • • Book Reviews must contain the name of the author and title/subtitle of the book reviewed, place of publication and publisher, date of publication, number of pages and price.
